Free school bus rides for everyone – now also running a scheduled afternoon route.
From Monday, August 10 2026, getting around Samsø will be even easier.
Returning back from the summer holidays, the afternoon school bus service will transfer into a scheduled route, and all residents can travel for free on these regular afternoon trips around the island.
The new planned route means you can now take the bus in the afternoon to travel around the island – for example, from Nordby or Kolby. Previously, the bus service was only available for the trip home from Tranebjerg and Onsbjerg.
Use the bus to go shopping, to/from work or activities, or for visiting family and friends.
If the scheduled afternoon bus does not align with ferry arrival or departure times, you can still book the telebus service to ensure you have a flexible transport option.
During the morning hours (8:00 AM – 1:00 PM), the telebus service will continue to operate as before. To use this service, simply call +4588 44 83 88 to book a trip from one address to another.
